Autop B.V. attaches great importance to the protection of your personal data. In this privacy policy we want to provide clear and transparent information about how we handle personal data. Autop B.V. does everything it can to guarantee your privacy and therefore handles personal data with care. Autop B.V. complies in all cases with applicable laws and regulations, including the General Data Protection Regulation.
This means that we in any case:
- process your personal data in accordance with the purpose for which it was provided, these purposes and types of personal data are described in this privacy policy.
- processing of your personal data is limited to only those data that are minimally necessary for the purposes for which they are processed.
- ask for your explicit consent if we need it for the processing of your personal data.
- have taken appropriate technical and/or organizational measures to ensure the security of your personal data.
- do not pass on personal data to other parties, unless this is necessary for the implementation of the purposes for which they were provided.

What do we process your personal data for?
Your personal data is carefully processed by us for the following purposes:
- Entering into a rental or lease agreement.
- Sending (direct) mailings.
- Entering into employment contracts.
- All other services we offer are in accordance with our mission and strategy.
For the above objectives, we may request the following personal data from you:
- Your name and address details.
- Your date of birth.
- Your gender.
- Your contact details, such as your telephone number and email address.
- Legitimation
- Financial data (bank account number, etc.).
- Other documents that we need for our work with your permission.
What do we process?
In order to serve you, we process your data together with other data. The following data may also qualify as personal data and will be treated as such by us:
- Chassis number.
- License plate of the car.
- Other documents that we need for the agreement with your permission.
Disclosure to third parties
The data you provide to us, we can provide to third parties if this is necessary for the execution of the purposes described above.
We use a third party for, among other things:
- Purchasing your car.
- Financing and insuring your car.
- Damage repair to your car.
- Rental of our loan cars.
- Support for our website.
- Marketing research
- Complete care of our ICT infrastructure.
- Taking care of our payroll processing.
We never pass on personal data to other parties with whom we have not concluded a processing agreement. We naturally make the necessary agreements with these parties (processors) to ensure the security of your personal data. Furthermore, we will not provide the information you provide to other parties, unless this is legally required and permitted. An example of this is that the police requests (personal) data from us in the context of an investigation. In such a case, we must cooperate and are therefore obliged to provide this information. We may also share personal data with third parties if you give us written permission to do so. We do not provide personal data to parties located outside the EU.
Retention period
Autop B.V. does not store personal data longer than necessary for the purpose for which it was provided or is required by law. Our central archive meets the requirements. If you are no longer interested in us or our products, we will keep your data for as short a time as possible. In most cases, we use the standard legal retention period of 7 years for financial documents and associated data.
Security
We have taken appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data against unlawful processing, loss, unauthorized access, unwanted disclosure or unauthorized modification.
Rights regarding your data
You have the right to inspect, rectify or delete the personal data we have about you. You can also object to the processing of your personal data (or part thereof) by us or by one of our processors. You also have the right to have us transfer the data you provide to yourself or directly to another party if desired. We can logically ask you to identify yourself before we can respond to the aforementioned requests. If you wish to make use of this, please contact our privacy officer or your direct contact person.
Cookie statement
The Cookie Statement of Autop B.V. explains how cookies are placed on and information is read from your computer, tablet and/or mobile phone (hereinafter: “Peripheral Equipment”) via the Autop website. This Cookie Statement also indicates for what purposes this collected information is used. You have the option to refuse cookies or delete them from your browser. We therefore recommend that you read our Cookie Statement carefully. The Cookie Statement can be consulted on our website.
Staff
Our employees are aware of our privacy policy and can also provide you with an explanation as to why we need information from you. Internal guidelines have also been drawn up to ensure the security of your data.
Payments
If you are allowed to purchase from us on account, we can check your creditworthiness. We can use external agencies for this. For that credit investigation, we may provide your information to others, who may use this information only for that purpose. In addition, we may call or email you to remind you of an invoice that has expired. We may also pass on your details to a collection agency and/or bailiff who collects unpaid invoices on our behalf.
Social media
If you use social media, such as Facebook, you can use your social media account to like articles on our website or share them with your friends. That article will then appear on your social media account. Autop B.V. will not have access to your account at that time.
If you ask us a question via social media, we will no longer store that message after it has been processed. If you submit a complaint, we will store that message in our complaints system. We will store your data so that we can respond to your message.
Online forms
We use online forms on our website. We request some information from you for a quote, question, workshop appointment or for our newsletter. At the bottom of the forms we ask whether we can use this information from you. We will then process and store this data if necessary. The information you leave on our website forms is sent to us via a secure website. Our website has an SSL certificate for this.
Camera surveillance
There is camera surveillance on our sites. Which is also visibly indicated on our sites. Together with other security measures, we try to protect your and our property against theft or damage. We try to prevent the impact on your privacy as much as possible and comply with Article 38 of the Wbp Exemption Decree. We are only allowed to view the images if incidents have occurred. The retention period is a maximum of 4 weeks.
Amendments
The way in which we process personal data, and the composition or amount of data that we process, may change. We therefore reserve the right to adjust this privacy policy. The most recent version is always available on our website. Older versions can be requested from our privacy officer.

Complaints
If you have a complaint about the processing of your personal data, we ask you to contact us about this. A special complaint form has been set up for you on our website. You can choose which data you provide to us and whether we may contact you based on your complaint.
If we are unable to resolve this with you, we naturally find this very annoying. You can always contact the Dutch Data Protection Authority, which is the supervisory authority in the field of privacy.
